The parasite: An alien sex parasite is spreading across Earth. It is almost undetectable and spreads through sex. Hosts who do not spread the parasite to uninfected victims slowly die from a variety of causes; hosts who spread it a lot find themselves developing powers based around what arouses them.
The protagonist: A startup entrepreneur with kinks for self-knowledge, quantification, and gamification, and an active sex life. This combination means that the parasite's powers present to them as a litRPG setup, and the included status screen makes them one of the first people on the planet to be aware of the situation.

Worth the Candle features:
• Joon, isekai protagonist with depression and sexual hangups, who previously had an imbalanced relationship with the underage sister of one of his friends
• Bethel, magical house and serial killer
• Valencia, teenage girl with the power to devour devils and demons for their social or combat skills, who was rescued by Joon and spends a long while wishing for a relationship with him
In canon, Bethel rapes Joon, and then Valencia has to leave the narrative with her to try and rehabilitate her. But... what about if instead of Bethel raping Joon directly, some of their conversations went differently and she trapped them together, compelling them to have sex with each other? The Laundry Files series describes a setting where enough computation and the wrong algorithms produce magic, where humanity is inevitably doomed by the impending Lovecraftian apocalypse from Moore's Law and population growth. Secret occult intelligence agencies try and forestall this as best they can, with their signature equipment including smartphones with apps installed for warding, exorcism, disguise, and geases.
One fic idea that came to mind from reading the series was of somebody else, like a date rapist or phone repair tech who routinely clones phones for blackmail material, getting their hands on one of those devices and kicking off a hypno app story.
The first part would cover them getting the device and their initial experiments with it, and an amoral pursuit of sex and money…
